Medium ....... Full City 

  • Medium brown in; Surface is Dry
  • Flavor, Lighter - bodied, higher acidity, no obvious roast flavor. This level of roast is ideal for tasting the full origin of the coffee. ( Thought to be the proper roast due to the preservation of origin flavors) It lacks the grainy taste of the light roasts, exhibiting more balanced flavor, aroma, and acidity. Caffeine is somewhat decreased, but there is more caffeine than in darker roasts.

  • Dark brown in color; Surface is very shiny. 
  • Bittersweet or Smoky flavors are prominent, aromas and flavors of roast become clearly evident. Little if any, origin character remains. The amount of caffeine is substantially decreased.

Light Dark ....... Vienna

  • Deep brown; Surface is slightly shiny
  • Sugars have been more so caramelized, and acidity have been more so muted. This results in coffee with slightly higher body, and more roast flavor imposed. Caffeine decreases.

Decaffeinated Coffee.......  Decaff

  • Decaffeination is the removal of caffeine from coffee beans. Decaffeinated drinks contain typically 1–2% of the original caffeine content, and sometimes as much as 20%.  Decaffeinated products are commonly termed decaf.

Medium dark ....... Full City +  

  • Medium Dark brown; Surface is Dry
  • Sugars have been further caramelized, and acidity has been muted. This results in coffee with higher body, but some roast flavor imposed.

Light  ....... Half City

  • Light brown; Surface is Dry
  • Light roasts have a toasted grain taste and pronounced acidity. The origin flavors of the bean are retained to a greater extent than in darker roasted coffees. Light roasts also retain most of the caffeine from the coffee bean. Roasted to and not beyond the first crack.
